1. Who we are

VBallScore ("we," "us") operates the website and app at vballscore.com (the "Service"). For privacy questions, contact info@vballscore.com.

2. Information we collect

3. How we use information

4. How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed to run the Service:

5. Cookies and local storage

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser's local storage to remember preferences (such as your team-side layout and reaction settings). We do not use advertising trackers.

6. Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to run the Service and meet legal, accounting, and security obligations; routine logs are rotated. Direct-message history is kept while both accounts remain active, subject to storage limits, and is deleted when either account is permanently deleted. Support attachments expire automatically within 30 days and are also removed during permanent account deletion. You can ask us to delete your account data (see below).

6a. YouTube connection (optional)

If you choose to connect your YouTube channel, VBallScore uses YouTube API Services to create and manage live broadcasts on your own channel at your request: creating the stream and per-match broadcasts, setting their privacy (unlisted by default), starting them when your video begins, and reading stream health to show you that your broadcast is working. We do not read or store your subscribers, comments, analytics, or video files.

We retain your Google-issued refresh credential while your YouTube connection remains authorized. A cached access token lasts about one hour. We periodically recheck authorization, including for connections that are not currently streaming. We refresh stored channel details, stream identifiers and ingest credentials, and saved broadcast/video references starting at 25 days. If refresh cannot be completed, cleanup starts at 29 days, with a 30-day maximum age for usable API metadata. Stored replay links are not video files; their visibility also follows the match's visibility setting and the video's availability on YouTube.

Use Account › YouTube connection › Disconnect YouTube to request revocation and deletion of the YouTube data VBallScore stores for that connection, including its saved replay links. Connection access is disabled immediately; remaining cross-service cleanup is retried automatically. The page reports whether Google confirmed revocation. Stop YouTube streaming in active matches first; cleanup also stops any remaining VBallScore-to-YouTube feed for the disconnected connection. This does not delete your videos on YouTube, match scores, local recordings or reels. To delete a video on YouTube, use YouTube itself. You can also revoke VBallScore's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions; scheduled authorization checks run at least every seven days. Detected loss of authorization immediately disables access and removes credentials. Unexpired replay references are hidden for up to 24 hours so reconnecting the same channel can restore them after verification; this window never extends the existing 30-day metadata deadline. Otherwise they are deleted. Explicit Disconnect YouTube requests do not use this reconnect window. You may also request deletion through Your choices and data deletion.

Use of this feature is also governed by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

7. Your choices and data deletion

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data — including deletion of your account and the data associated with it — by emailing info@vballscore.com from the address on your account, or by following the step-by-step instructions on our Delete your data page. We will verify and honor valid requests. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know, delete, and not be discriminated against for exercising those rights; you may exercise them using the same contact.

8. Children & minors

VBallScore is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13. You must be 13 or older to create an account, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Players who appear in matches. Volleyball is played by minors, so a player — including a minor — may appear in a match that an adult (a parent, guardian, coach, or scorekeeper) chose to score, record, or broadcast and confirmed they have permission to share. We make reasonable efforts to limit exposure. Signed-out visitors see the match, score, team names and participant counts — not named rosters. Player names, teams and pool assignments — the same information organizers publish on their own tournament sites and printed pool sheets — are shown to signed-in participants and followers of that event. Contact details (email, phone, parent/guardian contacts) are never public. They are visible only to the people running that event. Live video is not stored by us; recordings stay on the recording device.

Opt out & removal. A player — or a parent or guardian on their behalf — can opt out and ask us to remove the information we hold about that player (their directory entry, account, synced highlight-chapter data, and public listing) by emailing info@vballscore.com. We will verify and honor valid requests. We can only remove what we hold or serve: a recording another person saved to their own device never reached our servers, and we do not store match video centrally, so there is little for us to retain.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
